RFSD District Accountability Committee (DAC)

The DAC provides valuable input on the operation of our schools by reviewing and offering recommendations on the district's budget, state accreditation ratings, and evaluations of teachers and administrators. Made up of a diverse group of community members—parents, teachers, administrators, and others—the DAC reflects the demographic makeup of Roaring Fork Schools and ensures a well-rounded perspective in decision-making.

As a state-mandated organization, the DAC plays a key role in shaping the direction of our schools. Each local school board is responsible for appointing or creating a process for electing DAC members, who then operate independently to meet the committee's goals. DAC meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every month at 6 p.m. (unless otherwise noted) at the Roaring Fork School District (RFSD) Office, located at 400 Sopris Avenue in Carbondale, upstairs in the Colorado Room.*

If you have any questions about the application process or the DAC's activities, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We welcome your involvement! For more information, review this document or contact roaringforkdac@rfschools.com.
