We are so grateful to the voters of the Roaring Fork valley for approving bond-funded construction projects in all of our schools. Along with the benefits come some inconveniences which the staff members of the school district have borne with patience and perseverance.

This past year was full of dust, boxes, relocations, traffic, and other general hassles related to construction for Roaring Fork Schools staff, students, parents, partners, and community members. More than half of our schools are under construction, which means that most of our building users have been working around heavy machinery, packing up their spaces, and moving into temporary digs. Teachers ended their years not only busy with the last-minute grading of late assignments, administration of make-up assessments, and writing comments, but also with the extra chore of packing boxes.

I want to thank everyone who has been affected by school construction. Everyone’s flexibility, willingness to help out, and positive attitude has really helped bring us together as staff teams, classes, building sharers, and communities. We are so excited about the improved school facilities for our community next year. Have a wonderful summer and I look forward to seeing you in the fall.

All the best,
